The College and Career Readiness (CCR) department at Vance-Granville Community College has been evolving for several years. During the 2024–2025 academic year, the program achieved an unprecedented milestone.
Under the leadership of Director Adwanna Howard and her dedicated team, the CCR program achieved a record 48.4% measurable skill gain (MSG) rate, making it the highest-performing department at the college for the academic year.
Much of the current CCR team joined the department in early 2024. Working together with instructors, tutors, advisors, and support personnel, the team continues building a collaborative environment focused on student success and long-term program growth.
