We Speak NYC

We Speak NYC (WSNYC) is a web-based English Language Distance Learning program that provides civic-focused English language instruction through videos, web, and print materials. The program was produced by New York City’s Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs. WSNYC is delivered in a traditional situation comedy series format. The videos and materials highlight NYC services and have been used extensively in both formal and informal ESL classrooms as well as for self-study by English Language Learners (ELLs). Everything about WSNYC is open-source and available to the world on the WSNYC website.
